CPL Aromas and Bontoux rebuild a school in Madagascar: A commitment to education and the community
CPL Aromas and Bontoux rebuild a school in a remote village in Madagascar, offering a safe and dignified space for more than 100 children.

CPL Aromas, a global leader in the fragrance industry, has joined forces with Bontoux to support the reconstruction of a primary school in Fanivelona, a remote village in eastern Madagascar. This initiative is part of a broader commitment to sustainability, education and community empowerment.
The original school, built in 1916, was destroyed by Cyclone Batsirai. In a region frequently affected by extreme weather events, the absence of a safe and permanent structure forced more than 100 children to continue their studies in makeshift conditions.
Thanks to the collaboration between CPL Aromas and Bontoux, this reality is changing. The new school project, which is already underway, is designed to provide a safe, inspiring and dignified space for learning, returning not only classrooms, but also hope and pride to the local community.
This alliance reflects the shared values of both companies: social responsibility and long-term impact. The project has mobilized local residents and is progressing steadily, with foundations already laid and materials delivered, despite the logistical challenges of reaching such a remote area.
"We believe in the power of education to transform lives," said Nick Moore, Global Procurement Director and Project Leader at CPL Aromas. "This project is more than just rebuilding a school: it is an investment in the future of a community."
