Julie Pluchet is a Senior Perfumer at CPL Aromas, based in Paris and working closely with both the French, UK and Dubai teams. Deeply inspired by nature and the art of fragrance, Julie’s path to perfumery began in the French countryside and was shaped by an early fascination with scent.
After earning a Master’s in Chemistry in 2003, Julie trained at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery under renowned mentors Max Gavarry and Isabelle Burdel. Julie began her career in Paris before moving to the UK in 2012, where she spent thirteen years, joining CPL Aromas in 2014. In 2025, she returned to France, continuing her creative work from the CPL Paris office.
Julie brings a poetic, intuitive approach to fragrance creation, often drawing on memory, movement, and emotion. A passionate flamenco dancer, she sees strong parallels between dance and perfumery, both rooted in rhythm and expression.
Known for her love of natural materials like cedarwood and cardamom, Julie’s style is defined by contrast, balance, and authenticity. She is also deeply engaged with the evolving expectations of consumers, embracing sustainability and transparency in her work.
