Elise Pierre is a Perfumer at CPL Aromas and part of a new generation of creatives whose work combines technical precision with emotion and imagination. Her style reflects her French heritage and a lifelong fascination with nature, craftsmanship, and the art of scent.
Born and raised in Normandy, Elise grew up surrounded by the countryside and the sea, where she discovered her love of smells, from the fresh ocean breeze to the earthy notes of the fields and flowers in her family’s garden. At the age of 11, she learned about the profession of perfumery and knew instantly that it was her calling.
Elise studied chemistry before completing a master’s degree in fragrance and cosmetics at ISIPCA in Versailles. During her studies, she completed an apprenticeship in Paris within a fragrance house, gaining valuable experience in formulation and regulatory work that built the foundation for her creative career. She joined CPL Aromas in the UK in 2017, working across several departments including stability, evaluation, and product performance. These experiences gave her a strong technical understanding that now supports her role as a perfumer. In 2019, she joined the perfumery team and has since brought passion, curiosity, and creativity to every project she works on. Elise is now based in CPL Aromas’ Paris office.
Elise finds inspiration in travel, culture, and everyday life. Her compositions often feature violet notes reminiscent of her childhood garden, alongside orange flower, sandalwood, and cedarwood. Her style blends classic French structure with a modern sensibility, creating fragrances that are both emotional and refined.
