An excellent opportunity to join the R&D Product Development Team in the UK has become available. Based at the Brixworth Site, and reporting to the Global R&D Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development of the CPL AromaCore encapsulated fragrance technology.

  • Build relationships with key external contract encapsulation companies including the current CPL preferred partner
  • Drive the AromaCore development programme to take the usage of AromaCore into other Household and Personal Care product categories
  • Work closely with the CPL Global Perfumery Team to optimise the formulation of fragrances for incorporating into AromaCore encapsulated products
  • This will involve guidance on formulation rules to optimise fragrance performance and to ensure compliance with IP within the product area
  • It may also involve developing new formulation rules for AromaCore fragrances that may be patentable – it will be the Encapsulation Chemists responsibility to manage this process
  • To give guidance to CPL regarding whether AromaCore encapsulation should be done in-house or continue to be done via an external partner
  • To work with the Product Performance team to ensure suitable performance testing is done to support current and new uses for AromaCore fragrances
  • To advise and if necessary, set up an in-house encapsulation laboratory facility to allow us to make small scale development encapsulation samples
  • Report progress of projects on a regular basis to the Group Technical Manager
  • To be our AromaCore expert for our key Global Target Customers – this may involve Global travel to present to these customers
  • To present new AromaCore Developments internally to the Senior CPL management and Sales Teams


Must have a relevant science degree and at least two years’ suitable polymer and encapsulation experience in the Fragrance area
