At this year’s Beautyworld Middle East in Dubai, CPL Aromas took a bold step to present a deeply human story: “Manzili: Portraits of Belonging”, one that celebrates connection, culture, and emotion through the power of fragrance. Inspired by the book Dubai is My Home, authored by Marie-Jeanne Acquaviva and photographed by Olivia Froudkine, the collection captures the stories of seven remarkable individuals: people from diverse backgrounds, whether born in Dubai or having made it their home, who have helped shape the city’s cultural and human landscape.

Ahead of Beautyworld, CPL Aromas hosted an intimate pre-launch event, bringing together the book’s authors, the seven protagonists, and members of the media. Guests experienced the fragrances firsthand and heard personal reflections from the individuals who inspired each creation. This intimate gathering served as a mindful encounter between art, scent, and story before the general release to a bigger audience.

During Beautyworld Middle East, held from 27th to 29th October, visitors could explore the complete “Manzili” collection at CPL Aromas’ stand. The experience also offered a cultural journey into Saudi Arabia’s tribes, inspired by Assouline’s The Flower Men, showcasing how fragrance can serve as a bridge between heritage and innovation.

Jasmina Illic, Fragrance Development Manager from CPL Dubai, joined authors Marie-Jeanne Acquaviva and Olivia Froudkine in a Next in Fragrance roundtable to share the insights on how they brought to life together this collaboration, from souls to scents. Additionally, Rawya Catto, General Manager from CPL Dubai, shared her vision on another conference, about “How the Future Smells Different”.
With an approach to sustainability and innovation, CPL’s stand featured a collaboration with Nagami, a Spanish design studio, pioneering recycled materials transformed into art pieces through 3D printing, embracing artistry and circular design.
CPL Aromas also hosted a festive evening event at Tasca, Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah, bringing together clients, media, and KOLs to celebrate creativity and connection. The night featured a special reveal of CPL’s new disruptive technology, previously debuted in Cannes during TFWA, and a breathtaking water-inspired light sculpture created in collaboration with Nagami Design.

CPL Aromas’ participation at Beautyworld Middle East reflected the company’s commitment to storytelling, culture, and authenticity, focusing on people, emotions and sense of belonging.
